This course meets the requirements of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Residential, but is open to anyone looking for adventure! Meet new people, develop your skills in the mountains and explore Snowdonia. The course will provide a range of challenges including climbing and abseiling, teambuilding tasks, mountain navigation, gorge scrambling up a mountain stream, a conservation challenge and an overnight expedition and wild camp (weather permitting). Develop your skills in expedition planning, goal setting, navigation and teamwork, as well as meeting the requirements for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Residential. The course is based at Rhyd-y-creuau in the Snowdonia National Park, an excellent location from which to access a whole host of special environments, and easily reached by train. Activities include: - Rock Climbing - Abseiling - Mountain Navigation and climb - Gorge Scrambling - Overnight Expedition - Bushcraft - Conservation Challenge Activity Rating ***

The staff at Rhyd-y-creuau have a wide knowledge of the wonderful and inspiring habitats of the surrounding area, and of working with groups of all kinds.
