This course is designed to increase teachers’ confidence in planning and delivering safe and effective learning experiences outside of the classroom across the secondary geography curriculum. With a focus on risk assessment as the fundamental tool to ensure safety is effectively managed, this course will give participants the knowledge and skills they need to complete risk assessments and standard operating procedures effectively.
Looking at the wider planning process, we will consider what contributes to effective learning in the field and how we can ensure all students are actively engaged in the process.
